Ryan Williams is a Flagstaff piano teacher who thinks it’s never to early or late to start playing piano and learning about music.

Currently accepting new students.

I teach students of all ages and skill levels, from kids just beginning their musical journey to adults interested in taking on a new hobby or improving their current piano practice. When I begin piano lessons for kids, I’m looking to build confidence and help them find their love of music and the piano. For adult piano lessons, we’ll work on playing with more structure and guidance. Learning to play the piano can be challenging, but it’s also super fun with the right instruction.

When a new student begins piano lessons, I’ll put together a teaching plan that will help each students grow not only as a pianist, but as a musician. We’ll study how the keyboard is organized, music theory, harmony, melody, rhythm, technique, coordination, reading music, improvisation and much more!

I want my students to learn that playing the piano feeds their own self expression. I want them to be inspired during every piano lesson - to enjoy their lessons. Without a balanced combination of fun and enjoyment along with hard work focused on improvment and musical growth, learning music gets old. No good!

How do lessons work?

I recommend 30 minute lessons. That amount of time keeps students engaged with the lesson. They don’t get bored. And that’s what we want, right?!

I’d love to talk with you about starting piano lessons!
